We just celebrated Frankie's second birthday. She got a the little roller that she's sitting on and some little people toys. We didn't splurge on toys because she mostly plays with her brother's toys and doesn't seem too picky about what she plays with.

Frankie now not only walks very well but likes to run quite a bit, pulling us along by the finger. She really likes riding on her brother's tricycle but has to be pushed, she hasn't figured out the pedaling thing quite yet.

She didn't even eat any birthday cake - how weird is that? She did eat the little sugar stars though. She kept asking for more stars.

She surprises me every day with new words that I didn't think she knew. And she clearly understands nearly everything we say. I've already learned to watch my language around Christian so I'm OK there.

Speaking of, she's up from her nap. Off to get her up and outside for a little fresh air.

The picture of Frankie on the tricycle is a little misleading. She can't quite ride it yet but she does try. Her legs aren't quite long enough. However, she is really attached to the tricycle and wants to get on it. When her brother tries to ride it (who's almost too big) she gets jealous and cries and pushes him off.

Frankie knows tons of words now and even short sentences. She said "put coat on" the other day. She knows how to say most of the foods that she eats and a few animals, although most animals with four legs get called "cat", probably because we have two cats. She of course knows "Elmo",what kid doesn't? and a few animal sounds too.

Frankie also puts her own shoes on already! and her own socks and pants. About the only thing she doesn't do is her top and her own diaper. That will be a nice day. Trying to start potty training but so far the actual potty part isn't happening. But she likes sitting on it, probably because it's Elmo and says things when you hit his hand.

That's all I can think of for now.

We just got back from a trip to Oklahoma to see Grandma Kincade. Here's some various pics of us goofing around and having fun.

Frankie now can eat with a spoon, walk, almost jump, and has a few new words. She likes to pretend that she's jumping up in the air and then falls on the floor. Some of her new words are "baloney", "hot dog", "help", "up", "bubble", "elmo", "hat", "hot", "wipe", and a few others we are forgetting now.

Frankie is now walking all over the place. She still crawls a little but walking is definitely now her preferred method of getting from point a to point b. We are also enjoying that Frankie and Christian can now play together for short periods of time. This usually consists of Christian playing some imaginary game and Frankie watching.

We went to the Little Gym open house last night and here are some pics from that event.

Frankie is now walking! This was taken a few days ago, probably 9-21 or 9-22.

Just a few recent pics of Frankie. She's been having lots of ear infections lately. We're hoping to figure out what the deal is with that soon. She is talking just a little, words like dada, mama, bubba (brother), nana (banana) and she'll say "uh-uh" for no. She seems to understand a lot more than that though. I will ask "do you want to take your nap?" and she'll say "uh-uh".

So tomorrow is Laura's birthday, which was the over/under for everyone wondering whether or not Frankie would be walking by then. And, although she is pulling up a lot, she is not walking yet. She will even stand on her own for a little bit but no walking so far. That doesn't keep her from getting around though.

She has a few words, hi, mimi (which is "pacifier" in our household, don't ask me why), baby, mama, dada, and that's about it. She also signs water, milk, and more.

The above pics are when we went to visit some friends while they were camping. We didn't camp that day but we did enjoy some fun in the sun, and Frankie obviously isn't scared of dirt.
